Honey’s Recovery in Her Foster Home
Honey was rescued at the end of April 2025 from an Indiana Puppy Mill. She was used for breeding and barely knew what life was like outside of a cage. We were able to swiftly get her into a lover foster family who provided a beautiful update along with some photos after about 1 week of getting to know her!
”Honey came to us very scared but craving love. She was scared to freely walk around, and seemed to not really even know how. Shes still hesitant to eat and do normal dog things like play, but it is very clear that she desires love.
The first couple days she wouldn’t go to the bathroom, now she’s learned to walk up and down stairs to go outside and she no longer needs to be carried around the house. She even chases her own tail! She still needs a lot of help with eating but with time and the dental work she needs, we are confident this will improve.
Things we’ve learned about Honey: she loves a couch and heated blanket, she loves to roll around in the grass, she needs other dogs around, she’s great with kids, loves cuddles (paws and nibbles on you when you stop petting her) and she is the absolute sweetest old lady. She is a very special dog who has overcome so much.
She deserves this new chance at life, thanks to GROM 🍯❤️”
Sweetie’s journey is a testament to the power of teamwork and the big hearts of our volunteers. From Indiana to Michigan, through cities and towns, one Golden life changed forever.
