Beyond the Bark
Chelsea has had a lifelong dream of working with dogs; she pursued those dreams by working with various shelters and rescue groups in the Metro Detroit area for nearly a decade. She has a Bachelors of Science from Oregon State University and is a Certified Behavior Consultant and Professional Dog Trainer through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. Chelsea is passionate about helping dogs live the best lives possible by empowering both them and their caregivers through private in-home training.

Emmy’s Way Dog Training
Alex is a trainer based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her background is in Elementary Education, Spanish, and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. While teaching, Alex rescued her first dog, Emmy, as an adult. Emmy came into Alex's life and inspired a new passion: dog training. Alex said she fell in love with behavior and how to support dogs with compassion, empathy, curiosity, and fun. Alex's goal is to support both humans and dogs in building their best relationship with one another.

Paws N Play provides private in-home training, Group dog obedience classes , Loose Leash Walking classes, Rally Obedience (Rally O) and Dog Agility classes that is not only fun but also teaches your dog to have good manners! A variety of tools and techniques are used that improves that bond and promotes mutual respect between you and your dog.
Techniques include positive reinforcement such as clicker training or treat based training, as well as classical conditioning and others! Michelle Jackson, owner and trainer, has over 15 years of experience specializing in reactive dogs, resolving a variety of problem behaviors, teaching obedience and agility. Paws N Play offers pet parents and their dogs a clean and safe training area.
