Zoe is as sweet as they come! She is affectionate, loves belly rubs and gives you a full on Golden welcome when you come home. She is housebroken and has been trustworthy free roaming in the home for 6 hours. She loves balls and sometimes even retrieves them like a retriever should. She has a big basket full of a large variety of toys, and she plays with every single one of them. Zoe has demonstrated no toy or food resource guarding in her foster home. She lived with 3 other dogs as well as 6 cats in her original home and reportedly resource guarded bones in that situation. She was surrendered to GRRoM when the owner died, and his physically challenged wife was unable to manage Zoe’s care. She has done well with older teenagers in her foster home, and we recommend a household with dog savvy children 10 or older. Obedience training is not required but strongly recommended to work on her leash skills. Zoe would do well with an experienced family or a novice family willing to receive guidance on leash walking. Physical fence recommended but other forms of containment will also be considered.
