Birthday: 3/17/2023, 2 year old - Male Golden Retriever

Status:

Currently Available for Adoption!

About:

Who doesn’t love a Golden who makes every morning feel like Christmas? Walter exuberates joy just by being his goofy self. Always a sock, toy or shoe in his mouth, tail wagging with the “Here I am” Golden message. He loves to be in the same room with his fosters, just being a best bud!  Walter is crate trained, knows a host of commands, is very smart and likes a challenge. His favorite activity is retrieving a ball or stick and dropping it on his own terms. He LOVES anything to do with the water!

Walter would do well with an experienced or novice family; an active family would be perfect! Children must be at least 10 years of age.  Walter was surrendered due to sibling rivalry, so he needs to be an only dog. No cats please. A physically fenced or invisibly fenced yard is preferred.  Walter likes the freedom of the house at night, but generally sleeps with his fosters. Walter is young, so he needs help with his manners. When meeting new people, he likes to bark, jump up and can be a bit mouthy. An obedience class would be a great bonding experience and is always recommended, especially for a young dog like Walter.  Car rides are no problem with this guy! Walter does have allergies and is currently on Apoquel, a prescription medication that the new owner must commit to continuing.

If you are ready to fall in love, come meet this guy!
