Pal Gets his Angel Wings

Pal gained his angel wings last week. He was 14 years old and he let us know it was time. Pal came to GRRoM in March (HERE is his original story) and was so in need of physical attention.

GRRoM volunteer, Carol, took him for his first vet visit in four years. Another volunteer, Jennifer, transported him to Linda’s home to foster. Kat and Debbie arrived at Linda’s armed with grooming tools, shears, etc. and the transformation began. These wonderful, loving volunteers did everything that was needed for Pal. Bath, grooming, shearing, trim and nail trim. It was found that Pal had a dew claw growing into his leg which was removed by the vet along with a large cyst on his neck that was drained. Pal emerged feeling good and settling in at Linda’s.

He had good days with her. Going for short walks and basking in the sun. Each day being pain free was a gift.

It was the very best we could do for this senior guy.

We gave him kisses and let him know how loved he was. He knew.

Thanks #teampal for being there when he needed help. He lived out his last days joyfully ❤️.
