About:

Koa is a super smart and curious young pup whose previous family adored him but did not have time to give him the care he needs. When Koa met his foster family for the first time they thought he recognized them as dog lovers because of the way he wagged his tail and wanted to greet them. His whole body was wiggling as he tried to give them kisses. With time, they learned that he literally loves every person he meets! It doesn't make any difference if you're a worker at the local Lowe's or a neighbor he's never met, they all get the same "happy Golden" greeting.  He gets along with his foster dog siblings who are about one sixth his size! He previously lived with 3 cats and just ignored them. Koa does need to lose a few pounds and has already lost 5 pounds in the past few weeks. He gets daily walks, which he loves, averaging several miles a day. He walks great on a leash and will adjust his speed to match yours with just a slight tug and the command "slow" and this boy LOVES to swim.  He is crate trained and trustworthy when his fosters leave him alone with access to most of their home.  When it comes to time for playing, there is no such thing as too many toys! Koa has access to a boxful of dog toys, and he takes advantage of all of them, emptying the box every day. He loves to play fetch and will bring the toys back to you every time, just be prepared for a nice tug-of-war battle! A fenced yard is ideal, but other forms of containment will be considered. Koa had previous frequent exposure to young children but tends to get overly excited and may knock a young child down. Koa is an intact male so neutering will need to be scheduled as soon as possible.  Since he is overdue, GRRoM has agreed to cover the cost of this procedure.
