Pam Ulrey
Copywriter for Adoptable Golden Biographies
I have, so far, been owned by two wonderful Goldens. My first, when I lived in San Diego, was Kelsi. She enjoyed swimming daily and retrieving balls in the ocean off of Dog Beach. She could not leave a single ball behind on the beach so we soon ended up with a full trash can of balls discarded by others. Sadly, I lost her to cancer just months after we moved to Michigan. Thus began my endless love of Goldens. Kelsi was soon followed by Bailey who lived until the age of 14.
I first got involved with GRRoM after the loss of Bailey, with an intent only to adopt that quickly grew into occasional fostering, volunteering for home visits, interviewing applicants, bio copywriting, guiding fosters through the roster and adoption process and most recently form revisions. It is an organization that I am extremely proud to be a part of and it helps me satisfy my Golden needs while not currently being owned by one.
Rescue tip: Give them love, and guidance and time to reach their full potential as the best Golden they can be. Many have been through a lot and need time to adjust and to learn that they hit the jackpot in their new life as a GRRoM adoptee.
