About:

Ziggy is a very sweet dog that was surrendered by his owner when his wife passed away.  He had TPLO surgery for a torn CCL on 2-18-26 and is well on his way to being as good as new. He has been cleared for short leash walks at this time. His personality may not have fully emerged because he has either been injured or recovering from surgery since his arrival. If you are looking for an affectionate shadow that loves to cuddle and be near you all the time, Ziggy is your guy!  He is so adorable as he gently and proudly prances around the house with stuffies in his mouth. He is well mannered but can get overly excited at times and is learning to control this.  He loves rolling in the snow but prefers not to be alone outside. A physical fence is recommended but other forms of containment will be considered. He was trained on underground fencing at his previous home.   Ziggy has had no known exposure to children so children in his new home should be dog-savvy and over 12.  He would do best as an only dog but previously lived with cats.  Ziggy can be a little nervous in new situations, during thunderstorms and around loud voices; therefore, he will need time to adapt. He would prefer a calm and peaceful home.  He knows basic commands and comes well when called.
