Teddy
Young Male - Poodle Mix
Status:
Ready for adoption!
About:
Teddy (aka Teddy Bear) may be one of the sweetest souls to grace our earth. He is a golden-doodle or poodle mix that came to us from Wisconsin where he was found as a stray. From what we know of his past, he’s overcome significant obstacles and while he does have some maturing to do, he is growing into a wonderful, loving, cuddly boy.
Teddy’s favorite things are, in no particular order:
(1) his humans
(2) being near his humans at all times
(3) cuddling with his humans
(4) playing ball, preferably with his humans (though he will keep himself entertained when his humans are being boring)
(5) treats
(6) getting a running start and intentionally sliding as far as he can on wood or tile floors
(7) barking at squirrels & bunnies
(8) watching the world go by outside the window
(9) naps.
Teddy needs to be an only dog. Cats unknown. He is reactive to loud noises outside the home and can be reactive on walks though consistent training with his fosters has shown huge improvement in the past few weeks. A quiet neighborhood and a physically fenced yard are recommended but other forms of containment may be considered. Children should be dog savvy and over the age of 13. Formal positive reinforcement training is not required but always recommended as a good bonding experience with new owners. Teddy will do well with an experienced or novice family.
