Jet

12/17/22 - Male

Status:

Adoptable!

About:

Jet is a very happy and energetic boy!  He had surgery for a hip injury in March 2023. He has done great with physical therapy and loves the water treadmill.  He has made an amazing recovery, but will require home exercises for a bit to continue strengthening his leg muscles as he grows.  Jet loves trips to Tractor Supply, walks around the neighborhood, swimming and being outside exploring. He plays well with the neighbor kids and resident dog. Jet is very food motivated and is catching on to training very quickly, but pulls hard on a leash.  A positive reinforcement training class is required with paid receipt to be presented at time of adoption.  Jet would love a canine companion to play and wrestle with in his new home. A novice family with children 8 and older would be acceptable as long as they are strong handlers and are committed to training and exercise. He requires a physically fenced yard.

Special Case:

Jet had a rough start to life. At 13 weeks old he broke his hip and was surrendered over to GRRoM. He underwent FHO surgery that cost the rescue $2300 and is now on the road to recovery with weekly hydrotherapy sessions costing about $600. He is so sweet and full of life and he doesn’t let anything slow him down! He loves swimming, fetch and playing with his foster brother.

Please donate towards his care so we can get him strong and into his forever home.

March 24th, 2023: Jet at 13 weeks old right before hip surgery.
