About:
Jax is a diamond in the rough! His immense potential is evident, and he is just looking for the right people to help him shine. He is a handsome, affectionate, high-energy youngster looking for an active, experienced family. In the short time he has been in foster care, Jax has made impressive progress, demonstrating how quickly he learns when provided with structure, clear expectations, consistency, and positive reinforcement. He is a brave young pup who recovers quickly from new or potentially scary experiences. He is crate trained and rides quietly and calmly in the car. As a puppy, he is still working on basic life skills, impulse control, and learning how to settle. Jax will thrive with several short training sessions throughout the day that include both mental stimulation and physical exercise. While his socialization with other dogs is still being evaluated, he may do well with older, confident, and well-socialized dogs that can help him learn canine manners. Interactions with cats remain unknown. Because of his age, formal obedience training is mandatory, and proof of enrollment may be required at the time of adoption. A physically fenced-in yard is required, and Jax will do best with a family experienced in working with high-energy dogs using positive reinforcement methods. Children in the home should be over the age of 15. Please note that due to his young age, Jax has not yet been neutered; GRRoM recommends this be done at one year of age.
