About:
Groot is an 80-pound love bug. He puts his paw or head on you and waits patiently for pets and he loves belly rubs. He responds well to basic commands. Groot is learning to walk on leash using a Gentle Leader collar. He is trustworthy in the home but is crate trained as well. Groot has done well with his foster’s medium sized female dog, but other dogs are unknown. He chased cats in his previous home, but did not harm them. He resource guards his food so he must be fed separately from other dogs and not disturbed by anyone while eating. He also prefers to be left alone while he is resting. Groot requires an experienced family with no children. Due to his young age, Groot will require a physically fenced yard and positive reinforcement training. Proof of enrollment in training is required at time of adoption. Come and meet this guy who loves to give kisses.
