Bob
Birthday: 3/22/23 - Male
Status:
Available for Adoption
About:
Bob is a beautiful red boy who is learning about the wonderful new world he now lives in and wants lots of love and attention. He is a bit timid when first meeting new people and experiencing new things but warms up quickly and is learning that new things can be good things. He has a very sweet and gentle temperament (even the vet says so). He loves his walks, does well on leash and understands the command "slow" when he is walking too fast. He is just starting to play with toys, as long as they don't squeak, and now carries his soft toys to his bed to sleep with. Bob has had limited experience with children, so we recommend children be at least 10 years old. No formal obedience training is required as long as his new family has experience with timid dogs and introducing new things slowly and with patience. Bob may benefit from a fenced in yard though he does not yet want to go outside without his humans. Other forms of containment will be considered. He has had no exposure to cats at his foster home though his original owner reported he got along well with both dogs and cats. He does well with the foster’s two small dogs. Bob is recovering from Leptospirosis and will need to continue on Hills Prescription Kidney diet and have regular blood work for now.
