Auggie
Auggie was been adopted!
Congratulations!
AUGGIE - Born 2-1-2019 - Male
Auggie has the softest, fluffiest white fur and a heart of gold. He is the sweetest boy with a lot of love to give, loves to cuddle and is very affectionate. He loves chasing bunnies and squirrels, being outside with his family and going on walks. He enjoys playing a few rounds of fetch with his ball and carrying around his baby moose. Auggie is very food motivated which led to severe weight issues but with the help of a weight management diet and walks he is down to 104 lbs. from 119 last May. His adoptive family must remain committed to continued weight loss and exercise. Auggie was surrendered to us when his lifelong owner passed away and the owner’s wife could not keep him. He has found happiness with the love of his fosters and is now looking for a forever home to give him all the love and care he deserves. Auggie is looking for an active person who can take him for daily walks and spend time outdoors but will also give him the love and cuddle time he craves. He gets small bursts of wanting to play but mostly just wants attention. He has just learned how to manage a full flight of stairs but takes it slowly and tends to slip on hardwood floors so carpeting would be best. Auggie knows basic commands, has shown no resource guarding nor anxiety at his foster home. He enjoys getting brushed, which is necessary with his thick, fluffy fur and is very patient with bath time. He has had limited exposure to children so kids should be 10 or older in his new home. He also has had limited exposure to other dogs other than sniffing them through fencing. He whines if they bark at him but does not appear fearful. Physical fence not required. Other forms of containment will be considered. Auggie would do well with a novice or experienced owner and no formal obedience training is required.
